Understanding Sound and Acoustics

Sound is a branch of Physics that is concerned with the study of the physical properties of mechanical waves that are audible or can be heard. Acoustics includes trhe study of sound frequencies that cannot be heard, such as ultrasound and infrasound.

Ultrasound consists of sound frequencies higher than the upper audible limit of human hearing, while infrasound consists of frequencies below what can be heard.
