Formation of water from hydrogen and oxygen
Question

why electricity uses in the formation of water from hydrogen and oxygen?

Answer
A mixture of hydrogen and oxygen is explosive. An electrical spark can ignite the mixture, creating heat and water.
Electrolysis of water uses electrical charges to separate the H2O molecule into H(+) and OH(-) ions. The H(+) collects at the negative (-) terminal in the water. The OH(-) is further separated by the electricity into H(+) and O(-). The O(-) collects at the positive (+) terminal.
Should use dirigable instead of blimp
Question
February 21, 2007
You seem to have missed an important differentiation in the types of airships that have been produced.
A blimp (most modern airships are of this type) is simply a bag of gas. Modern blimps use a more robust and well-defined outer shell construction that eliminates the need for an internal structure.
Zeppelins were not blimps. They had an internal (Aluminum, I believe.)structure that made the airship rigid. The external "skin" served to hold in the gas.
I would liken the the external structure of a modern airship to that of an insect. It is like the insect's exoskeleton, where the structure of the zeppelins was more similar to the skeletal bones of most veretebrates, supporting the bag of gas from the inside.
Thanks,

Answer
Thanks for the feedback. I used the word "blimp" because most people are familiar with the term. But you are correct that dirigable is the proper word to use to describe a zeppelin. I'll update the page to add that explanation.
