When you make a credit card purchase, the merchant allows you to leave with the Goods. Why? Have you made a final payment?

The consumer has made an agreement with the credit card company to pay them for purchases made on the card, plus some interest, if overdue. The credit card company promises to pay the merchant the amount of the purchase, minus a handling fee of about 2%. The payment is immediately made electronically into the merchant's account. Thus, the merchant has the final payment.

There are several major areas of e-commerce that are interesting. Millions of people buy and sell goods through online auctions such as eBay. In fact, companies have also sold raw materials or excess goods via eBay.
The airline and tourist industries have been greatly changed through e-commerce, where a large number of transactions are made online instead of via the phone or in person.
Business-to-business transactions in almost every industry have been changed in that middlemen and brokers have been bypassed, allowing companies to purchase goods directly online. The problem with this subject is finding specific industries, since much of this type of e-commerce is not generally made public.

There are a number of places that criminals can affect a company doing e-commerce.
The most obvious crime in person-to-company e-commerce is stealing the credit card number of the customer. Most companies work through secured transaction sites to assure safety for the customers and the business. PayPal is one such company.
But also some customers may use another person's credit card and have the merchandise shipped to them. This could result in a loss to the company. Secured transactions help as well as making sure the address is correct for the person.
Online ordering forms should be encrypted to make sure someone doesn't change the code and prices in an order.
Computer criminals can attack a company's servers or website and steal important company information. Good firewalls and protection from outside server attacks is important.
In company-to-company transactions, credit cards are typically not used. Just like in standard dealings, you need to know your customer and their ability to pay before sending them goods from an e-commerce transaction.
Careful online security is necessary to prevent criminals to harm a company during e-commerce.
But also not that you should be careful when purchasing or sending money online. Make sure you know that the company is one that can be trusted. Never do business or correct your e-commerce account from an email. Always go directly to the compant website external to the email.

Also, hotels can order their supplies from companies that have e-commerce services available.

Business to business sales has been in existence for eons. Doing it on the Internet can often cut out the middle-man, such that companies can easily deal directly with each other, saving time and money. State vary in regulation of this type of business. The only reason such busines dealing would be regulated, is that "middle-men" groups had lobbied for protection of their turf.

The type of tools that would be unsed in e-commerce would be Internet software programs that would help in the various activities a company or business would have online. One major one would be to verfiy credit cards and obtain payments. Another major tool wold be to list a catalog of parts or products.
Typically, these tools are customer made for the individual company.Credit card software is available as part of a contract with such a company.
It would be difficult to search for the "framework of e-commerce", because that is somewhat of a vague term. What is probably wanted is the various functions and parts of e-commerce.

eCommerce is simply a way to do business electronically via the Internet, instead of through telephone, mail or personal contact. A big benefit is that more clients can be contacted faster. The company must have a good system to show what they have for sale on their website and an effective way to make the transaction. There must be an advantage for the customer to do business online.
