In reviewing the Weekly Blog, there is this question about Statistics; whether Statistics is considered a part of Physical science. Your answer was that it is a part of Mathematics.
I have always been taught that although it is an intense user of mathematics, it is actually a part of the Social Sciences. ??? Thanks for your response.Aldo - USA

Thanks for bringing up the point. It could use some clarification.
Statistics is considered by some to be a branch of mathematics, while others consider it to be a mathematical science that is is applicable such disciplines as natural science, social science, government and business.
The theory and derivations of the statistical equations is done in mathematics, while the collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation of data is the application of statistics in areas like the social sciences.

Hello there! As a cleaner, I am working everyday using chemicals to clean/disinfect things and places. I am normally wearing gloves and goggles. But, I just want to know if it is okay to have some spatter/splash of the water mix with chemicals in the lips? Because there were times like that. And when i checked the chemicals used, the symbol is sometimes toxic (T). And why companies normally don't give you mask to use? The normal personal protective equipment they give are goggles and gloves. Please enlighten me on this matter?

I think it's a good idea to use a mask that covers your nose and mouth when you are working with the cleaning chemicals. If a company does not provide it, then you should just go out and get a good, comfortable mask to wear.
Having the chemical spatter or splash on your mouth should not harm you, since it is a very small amount. But still, why take chances, especially since the material can build up in your system.
The main thing is that you should take care of your own well-being and be it a little extra cautious when dealing with toxic materials.

How do non-green plants obtain their food since they have no chlorophyll?

Non-green plants may be parasites, in that they get their nutrients from other plants. Some can get enough food from the ground and rotting material. There are a few that capture and dissolve insects for their food.
