Flavorite cookware handle brackets broken

Question

June 28, 2010

As many other people have done, I bought a set of "lifetime" stainless steel pots and pans from a home demonstrator in the mid 1960's. The brand is Flavorite. The handles have broken over the years and were replaced. However, some of the handle brackets welded to the pots have also fallen off making the pots difficult, if not dangerous to use. I refuse to throw them away because of their quality. They look almost as good as the day I bought them over forty years ago. Although I have seen references to the Flavorite company, I haven't been able to actually find them. I assume they were purchased by another company. Do you have any idea where I can contact them or their new company? Does the term "lifetime" really apply, and if so, will Flavorite honor that warranty? I love these pots and pans.

Diane - USA

Answer

Regal Ware still sells some Flavorite parts. See:

Their customer service phone number is: 262-626-2121

Best wishes on getting your cookware fixed.

Blacl coating came off outside of cookware

Question

June 16, 2010

I have a set of Miracle Maid cookware with (what I think is stainless on the inside) flat black on the outside. I used to put the pots in the dishwasher and they formed a white type coating on the outside so my mother scrubbed them to get it off. I think she took the black coating off because nothing seems to bring it back. Many of the lids are still black on the outside and the inside. I see cleaning instructions online for these pots but I think they are to clean the insides and that the outsides should not be scrubbed for the very reason that I think the coating is being removed. If I am wrong, how do I get the black coating to reappear and if not, how do I find out if they can be recoated? Thank you.

Answer

Check with Miracle Maid customer service at (262) 626-2121 or check the Regal Ware email at cookware@regalware.com

Wants Emdeko cookware handles

Question

April 28, 2010

My husband and I were called(lured!) by a salesperson to a local site here in our town and we bought.....projector/Emdeko stainless cookware/and Emdeko portable sewing machine, fortunately they all worked well, still have them (purchased in the '70's).Unfortunately my handles also are...no more!! To me, this cookware is as good as Saladmaster, of which I have. I need two pan replacements. All I remember is that Emdeko was out of Salt Lake City,Utah. Could we find out anything from there?? Could their Chamber of Commerce do some research about this?? Wouldn't hurt to try, seems like many people bought into this as we did. Pans are still in excellent condition except the handles!! Thanks, GW

Wants handles for Westminster cookware

Question

March 15, 2010

In 1970 I purchased some "waterless" pots & have used them ever since. The handles are finally going & I am in desperate need of replacements. I live in Canada & the name on the pots is Westminster. They also say deluxe 3 ply 18-8 Stainless steel. Made in Canada. Do you know where I could purchase these handles?

Kathleen - Canada

Answer

The company probably went out of business or was sold. Often repair shops, cookware dealers or hardware stores have generic handles that may fit.

Best wishes in finding replacement handles.

Question

December 2, 2009

I am looking for some replacement handles and knobs for a set of waterless cookware that I bought 45 years ago. The stamp on the bottom of the pots says victoria premier exclusive. I would like to know if you have any information on this cookware and wear i can purchase replacement handles and knobs. thank you for you help

Ralph - USA

Answer

After 45 years, the company probably has either gone all of business or has been purchased by another cookware company. Regal Ware has purchased many cookware companies. you can check with them to see if Victoria Premier is one of their products: https://www.regalware.com/en_lang/contact_us.htm

sometimes local repair shops have universal knobs and handles that will fit. You can also try that.
