Still getting nightmares

Question

May 30, 2009

Hi, It's been awhile since I've been on here, your website looks different if it is then cool. and I'm also having more nightmares still that won't stop. well, actually, it's weird. I have a dream, then for about 3 months of peaceful sleeping, then just out of nowhere it happens again, same as seeing and hearing things. I think it's because I was a psychic since I was 3 and maybe my ability is improving? I don't know. and I've been doing things during the day like write my own songs, hang out with one of my friends, etc. to try to relax my mind and not think about scary things and it doesn't work either, it just comes and goes. and I don't understand why.

Answer

I'm sorry to hear that you are still having nightmares. I have a couple of suggestions of things to try to help stop or stifle the nightmares.

Since you like to write, you can keep a journal of your nightmares. Write them down in the morning. Of course, some of them may be repeats, but you can then use the material for stories, poems or even songs. In this way, you gain control over the nightmares, instead of them controlling you.

Another way to get control of the nightmares is to rewrite the endings. If you catch yourself in a nightmare, you can change how it ends to make it a happy or funny ending. This takes the edge off the nightmare. Some people control their regular dreams like that to make them adventures.

I hope those ideas help. Keep in touch.

Girl is having scary dreams and thoughts

Question

May 20, 2008

I don't know what just happened I had a few experiences just now that I can't really explain, all I was doing right before I started typing you this is I was having fun watching my dad chase my 1 year old Yorkish Terrier puppy around the house then I just heard voices that sounded like 2 little girls talking to each other, they were soft and calm voices that just came out of nowhere.

It wasn't scary at all and whats strange is I'm the only girl on our road and the voices lasted for like 3 in a half seconds. And I heard that there was 1 or maybe 2 young girls who use to live here 2 of the neighbor's children and my bedroom was the girl's bedroom once but my parents bought this house from them when I was like 1 month old or something, and I was happy for the past 2 weeks...No nightmares or anything scary!, but now it started to pick up this week, I'm seeing more scary things than ever and I mean SCARY! it just comes and goes like a movie in my head playing over and over and I can't control it I didn't take any medicines at all and the scary things went away on it's own...but it's back now.

books didn't work, funny movies didn't work, happy thoughts didn't work, talking to my mom about it doesn't even help much, I can't think of anything possible to do now and you know what's bad about my abilities to communicate to spirits?...

School + Ability = not a good combination...because this week I've been under lots and lots of pressure and I still am cause in school I have to do a weeks long projects for English class I have to do like 10 million things that have to do with the story "To Kill A Mockingbird", reading class we had to read a book then the movie of "The Diary of Anne Frank" then do research on Kristalnacht and Spanish class we have to write our Spanish names then make up a sentense for each letter of our name and all the projects were due today and I'm failing those classes cause I didn't have time to finish all my projects at once, then I tomorrow May 21, some of us including me are taking a trip to the High School to see our next years classes and stuff and tomorrow my English project is due, and I'm not going to be there to hand my projects in.

I can't think straight anymore cause I'm so busy with everything then I'm worried if I'm going to pass 8th grade because my grades are bad because I don't have time to do homework, study, or even think! everyday this is what I have to do: at 6:00 in the morning I get ready for school, then in school I'm tired can't focus good we seriously get 10 worksheets to do in every class and if we don't finish them then its homework, then at the end of that class I try to do as much worksheets as I can till the next class starts.

When I come home from school I try to do my 70 homeworks that my teachers assigned then I spend a few hours doing it then we have dinner then I do more of my homework for about an hour then I do my English, Reading, and Spanish projects for the rest of the day then at 11:00 at night I go to bed but then my dog keeps me up till about 3 in the morning so I get only like about 4 hours of sleep every night, and now I'm experiencing scary things again to!!! Why me???

Answer

I know your parents are against medications, but I think you need something to help you relax and stop having these thoughts. Perhaps you are under too much stress.

Do you tell your mother about all the scary thoughts you have been having? It isn't good, and I think she should be concerned.

Often kids don't like to tell their parents about their problems or thoughts, but then again, that is what parents are for.

I hope that there is some solution to all these scary dreams, thoughts and visions you have been having.

I am messed up in relationships

Question

August 23, 2007

hello. my name is takeo. i am from japan. right now, i am so messed up in relationships with very clouse people and i just dont know anything what is happening or who is who. outside and inside. so depressed. can you possibly fix my head? even heart is not fine i think. i just dont know where to go,who to speak. please tell me if you can do anything to person like me
thank you

takeo - Japan

Answer

Before you can work on relationships, you need to seek peace with yourself. Find a quiet place and take stock in yourself and your life. Take several sheets of paper to make some lists.

Make a list of things you have accomplished in your life and good things you have done. Do not worry about how others have judged them, but write things that you feel were good or are proud of. Even if you only have a few items to list, write them down.

Make a list of your dreams and hopes. What are things you would like to get? What would you like to do sometimes? Where would you like to go?

Make a list of your family and friends. Appreciate those people and be happy you have them.

These lists will help you appreciate what you have in life and the hopes you have.

Now start making an effort to follow what we call the "5 Powers of a Champion".

Take care of your physical health with good food and activities. Try to avoid harmful thoughts and people who are critical of you. Seek to learn and improve your skills. Do your best in things you do. And try to be valuable to others.

Being valuable to others is important in relationships. If you listen to what another person has to say and take interest in it, that is valuable to the person. He or she will feel good and act nicer toward you. Do not say critical or selfish things to those around you. That can hurt them and cause them to look elsewhere for a friend. Think: "How can I be valuable to my friends and family, so that they will feel good?" That will do wonders about your relationships.

Sometimes a person that you feel close to will leave you. That can be hurtful, but that is life. Wish the person well, and move on to find others to be close to.

All this will take an effort. Sometimes people who become depressed do not want to make the effort. I hope these ideas will help you get on the positive track. I am sure that soon you will have good relations with people close to you, you will have healthy thoughts and feel good about yourself in general.

Best wishes on your success in this area.

I often mumble or talk to myself

Question

August 8, 2007

My problem is when i will go to my room or any other empty place while automatically i will start murmuring so i thinking when i will go to public place also samething will happen.so that time i thinking if i will speak alone whilw presenting others will think this person having some mental problem. so i want some advices and i would like to know how to survive in this struggle

ssss - India

Answer

Many people think and learn best by hearing things. Those people also are often good in music. Others learn best by seeing things. People who learn best by hearing will often talk or mumble to themselves when thinking or studying. It is called thinking aloud. There is nothing wrong with doing that, but you must be careful not to do it in public too much.

Being aware of the possibility is usually enough to keep you on guard.

Years ago, if you saw someone thinking aloud, you would think he or she was strange. But today, when so many people have cell phones that plug in their ear, you see a lot of people walking around holding a conversation. Everyone now ignores that.

Was sexually abused as a child

Question

July 4, 2007

i believe i am a good person and i always live in a very good and honest life and i always try to maintain this better ways of life but i have a great problem---in my very early age i had been sexualy influenced by one of my very close relative who is older than me when i was only 8 years old and after that in various time we had met together and had done sex until i am 15 years old and from that time i had been realizing that this is a dishonest sin of my life and i had feeled myself very much guilty for that although i believe that i had not a adult and matured one but a child when i had been starting to get addicted with that sex.Until today i feel deeper attraction for doing sex with anyone when i can remember my early life and cannot control myself and do masterbation after being excited but but i never do any further sex with anyone.I had been trying to come out from this great sin and dishonesty.please suggest me how i can get rid of that.......now i am 21 years old and i am doing my undergraduate degree and in my university life i want to be very easy with my girl classmates but it is very tough to control my mind and be very easy with them.....i cannot feel trust on me.
please suggest me something please please please please please please please

kamal - India

Answer

Sometimes young children are sexually abused by an older relative. In most countries this is against the law, especially since it can emotionally affect the child. You should not feel guilty about it, because it was not your fault. Your relative should feel guilty for abusing a child.

As far as being addicted to sex goes, it is not unusual for a young man to become sexually aroused and to masturbate. Ideally, you would like to find a girlfriend, get married, and have normal sex.

Although it is easy to have sexual thoughts when talking to girl classmates, you should suppress those thoughts for now and simply try to become friends with them. When you find a girl that matches your personality, she can become your girlfriend, and then let nature take its course. But still, you need to take your time with any relationship so as not to scare the other person away.

The big thing is to rid yourself of the feeling of guilt concerning the unfortunate incidences when you were younger. You were not the one that was doing a great sin. Instead, it was the other person who was manipulating you.

Start today with a new approach on life. Be friendly and helpful to other people. You will find the proper person and be able to have sexual relations.

Gets cramps each Thanksgiving

Question

November 13, 2006

I have had a still birth 23 yrs. ago, my due dt. was thanksgiving, I came hm from hosp. empty handed thanksgiving. every yr. I am reminded of this birth by having uterine cramping, ( i have no uterus) I forget its thanksgiving my stomach reminds me of it, I double over in pain, as if I am having hard period cramps. I believe there was a talk show regarding this, woman sensitive to a loss, by same symptoms of mine. Do you have a catagory on this. I would be interested. pls respond. Thank you

Mindy - USA

12381

Answer

Losing a child at birth is a tragic event and can be a traumatic, especially when reminded of it. But then again, losing any loved-one can also be quite tragic. The problem here is that you may be blaming yourself for the still birth. You may think that something inside you caused the death and that you had disappointed others that Thanksgiving.

You have to accept the fact that some things just weren't meant to be. That doesn't mean you can be sad about the loss, but you need to move on in your life without being affected by it. I am sure that if your stillborn is looking down at you from above, he or she would not want to see you suffering or having this cramping.

It is difficult to overcome this physical reaction to your grief, but it is something your need to do. Besides acceptance, perhaps try to have a cheerful Thanksgiving, like your child would have liked you to have. Hopefully that would allow you to overcome this problem.

I hope these ideas help and best wishes on having a good Thanksgiving.

Enrique -

Answer

Some people get angry easier than others. And when those people get angry, they often can't control their emotions, such that they get too angry and do something violent.

It is like with a dog. You can tease some dogs, and they will growl at you. But others will quickly try to bite you. And some will even go out of control and try to kill you. Perhaps that type of dog has been teased too much.

With humans, some of having a temper is the nature of the person and some of it is upbringing. If there was a lot of violence in a person's upbringing, often he will have a quick and violent temper.

The thing is that you must learn to control and manage your temper. Otherwise you will do things you are sorry for and end up ruining your life. Every time you get angry, even just a little bit, kick yourself and say, "Don't do that. It's not worth it. Cool it."

You've got to remind yourself constantly to be cool and mellow and not let things bother you. The only person you should ever get mad at is yourself, if you're not doing as well as you should. If you learn to stay cool, you will be surprised how good things get. If someone hassles you or argues with you, figure that the person is just dumb and not worth losing your temper over.

I hope this gives you some ideas on handling your temper. Let me know how things turn out.
