Answer

You can get a good overview of all the aspects in Electrical Engineering from:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrical_engineering

The site also has many references.

Another good source is at:
http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/electronic/etroncon.html

Unfortunately, online courses in Electrical Engineering are from colleges that charge a large fee to participate.

I hope that helps, and best wishes in your studies.

How did you get the square root?

Question

January 14, 2006

how did you get the answer 6 on SQRT(36)
please explain!!

sarah - USA

9667

Answer

The square root of 36 or SQRT(36) is the number times itself that equals 36. In many cases, you can guess. 6 times 6 = 36. Likewise, the square root of 25 is 5.

But for other numbers that don't come out even, you need to use a scientific calculator. See the lesson on Using a Scientific Calculator at:
http://www.school-for-champions.com/science/calculations/using_calculator.htm

It is listed in the Science lessons.
