OK SO I BELIEVE IN THE SIX SENSE, ALL THOUGH I'M CONFUSED IF I HAVE IT...WHAT I HAVE READ IN THE INFORMATION FITS SOME OF MY EXPERINCES. I HAVE HAD DREAM OF PLACES I GO IN THE FUTURE, DAJA VU I DREAM OF PEOPEL THAT I LATER MEET IN THE FUTURE. I ALSO SEEN N HEARD WIRED STUFF I CAN'T EXPLAIN. I have been wondering if the sixth sense simply is the brains ability to translate impulses (sounds, light, nerve impulses, taste and smells) into something recognizable. Or rather if the sixth sense is simply the sensing of electrical impulses, in different areas of the brain. This sensing could perhaps also be caused by electrical or magnetic fields, within the brains response range, making recognizable patterns flow so we get information we couldn't know otherwise.
I use my sixth sense in my daily living, for all kinds of things so I'm a believer, but I do not think that it is some mysterious extraordinary power. It might actually be explained physically.

We define the sixth sense as being able to sense events in the future or past. It is often called precognition. We believe it is part of our ability to sense the passing of time. It could very well be a combination of other senses, such as being able to sense electrical or magnetic fields or the motion of those fields.
Note that some animals are good at sensing electrical fields, while others can sense magnetic fields. Humans may or may not have those senses.
In any case, there are so many people who have sensed future events that cannot be explained by coincidence, that the possibility of this sense is highly probable. There may be a portion of the brain that controls the sense.

WHY....I need to know why there is a 6 sense? can I control it? I do know that it will not go away even if you don't want it. I don't know what it means. I don't understand it. It makes me diffrent and I don't like it at times I don't like me. can you help?

There at several senses beyond the typical five that are mentioned. One of them seems to be what we call the sixth sense, that is being able to sense or foresee the future. It is a very subtle sense and seems to work the best when you don't try and just let it happen. But also, those who seem to be constantly getting feelings about future events can stifle the sense by simply trying very hard to see into the future. In other words, it acts opposite from what you would expect.
Just like a person who has super sensitive hearing and you can hear things that others can't, there are people with stronger abilities in the sixth sense. Often it is better not to broadcast any special abilities you may have, because many people don't understand them or accept them.

You may be able to get a feeling or dream that will foresee your future. But also, someone else may have a dream about your future.
But the problem is that the getting those feelings through the 6th sense is not something that can be turned on at will. Foreseeing the future events just seems to happen in people, so specifically asking for information does not work.
Think of times you have had a feeling, premonition or dream about something or someone, and then it came true. If you can repeat that feeling, you may be able to get more information about the future.

ok well i have queation, but i know i have the sixth sence, and my mother has it to.
we can see into the future at times, as you already know threw dreams.
somtimes we have ben physically hurt by them.
and we can also see spirits and ghosts, im not sure what they want.
most of the time they randomly show themselves to us, they are transparent to me like some we've seen before.
for some reason they seem to be getting more and more visual to me.
i cant see threw them, they look like a real person, like any random person you may see.
So im kinda confused on what to do. Should i ask them what they want, or if they need help passing over?

You may notice that you do not have to try to see future events or even spirits. If you try to see them, it doesn't work. Some people have used that method to stop seeing future events and such things as spirits.
For this reason, it is difficult to communicate with spirits, because when you try they can go away. Some people have learned to do it without trying.

Hey im tegan im only 15 but I know I have 6th sense I see sprits, dream of future and sometimes read minds ok I know you prob like I don't believe you but ill hear you out but my whole family has this my first real experience is when I was bout 10 my cousin gave me this pink cuboard I didn't like it I knew there was something else to it everynight I wud lock it up tie the handles up and I couldn't keep my eyes off it later on I felt a strong vibe of hate and anger it got too much and i asked my cousin what was up she told me that a man was with that cuboard and he hated to be locked up that's why he got so mad I got rid of it and the current owners of it are also having weird feelings. My friend had met these new people from out of town they were guys and older I didn't have a gud feeling that night I had a dream mum and my sister met new guys older then them and I could hear my sister saying help in my head so I called her they were locked up in a shed screaming for help cause this man wanted to kill them I told my friend and she said they asked her to go and visit them for awhile I told her not to go and then the guys left the next day and got mad they wanted to take her, then I was in dance class at school everything my teacher said I finish every sentence for her I knew excalty what she was going to say. I don't like to get involved with the 6th sense its not something I want to have I just do if I had a choice I would rather have 5 iv had alot of bad experences with sprits and dreams not so much mind reading there is such thing its not a talent it doesn't make you special everyone has is but some people learn how to get intouch with it more than others my strongest sense it the sprits and I will never get use to it its not fun I see them all the time they won't leave me alone at school home mates places in the car they are eveywhere and they do come back to us after they pass and they are there for a reason. I know there is such thing people who don't believe in this have no idea what is out there have no idea a sprit could be with them right now. Everyone has the 6th sense, but it seems to be more sensitive in some families, just like some families have super-sharp vision more than others.
For some reason, people seem to sense bad vibrations more than good and will see accidents more than happy things in the future. Maybe it is because they are more serious.

I have seen things happen perfectly before they happen but there all first person
also sometimes when I play poker (recreation) with my buddies I might get a horrible hand but for a strange reason I'll have a real good feeling and 99% of the time I win the hand. I don't feel spirits but I believe I can sense them. It will feel like a person will be standing or looking at me. I can't see it but It feels like someone there. most things are first person except this one time (this only happened once as far as I remember)I was talking to some it felt like was looking though the other person's eyes and said something,when it returned to normal the same words were repeated. For as long as remember I've had a sixth sense, but now I realize what is now. well my question is, can tune your senses with out trying or realizing that you have it? (everything may seem a bit far fetched, but trust me its true.)

Our definition of the 6th sense is being able to sense future events. When you get a good feeling in a card game like you will win or get a certain card, you should try to recall that feeling and duplicate it again. That is often difficult, because trying too hard can screw it up. I can play solitaire are sometime just know I will win, while other times my mind isn't into it.
The idea of spirits and of reading another person's thoughts are different subjects, although those with a good 6th sense also seem to be able to experience those things more often.

Some people have had a "lucky feeling" so that they knew they would succeed if they proceeded. But if you try to get this feeling, it usually will not work. Foreseeing the future just seems to happen in people. Some can foresee with the 6th sense better than others.

I was wondering, is it possible that people can have a dream of one of their past lifes and remember some of it? because I dreamed that like 2 years ago and all of a sudden it came back to me and it's like someone wants me to remember it for some odd reason, it was I think the 1762 and an Indian man and his 4 children 3 girls 12,8 and 3 years old, 1 boy thats 3 yrs old, and they were walking on a long narrow bridge that you can only walk on, and underneath was a small not deep creek with lots of rocks and there were stairs with like 10 steps right beside the bridge and they were looking at the creek, and the 8 year old girl named Kaiya (Ky-ah), was leaning over the railing of the bridge and she fell off the bridge and fell into the creek and her head was bleeding cause she cracked her skull on a rock and her dad ran down the stairs and checked if she was ok, and the 12 year old girl ran to find someone who can help, and Kaiya was unconsious and 3 Indian men came to help Kaiya but then she died, she died and her spirit was being lifted out of her body and she was standing like 8 feet away from them and she was watching the men trying to help her. then I woke up and I just have an awful funny feeling that I was Kaiya, a looooooonnnnnggg time ago, cause that dream just seems like it actually happened and it makes me wonder if it was me in one of my past lifes.

I have heard of people being hypnotized and dreaming about a past life. Then they checked in the history of the area and found that such a person actually lived there. Although many scientists don't agree, some of the facts seem very convincing.
