Answer
Many zoos have special areas called "petting zoos" that are intended for children. It allows them to touch and pet various animals such as goats, pigs, cows, rabbits, etc.
This would be great for the blind and the blind/deaf people. They can use their available senses to experience these animals.
Also, try going to a zoo yourself blind-folded with a friend and have your friend describe the animals. You get some experience and can sense to smells of the zoo--although they aren't too pleasant.
Note that some museums have tape recorders that explain exhibits. This could also be used for the blind. The blind/deaf have a separate challenge, but can at least experience the smells.
I hope these ideas help. Let me know how your plans go, and I will help promote your efforts. The School for Champions has been promoting helping the blind use the Internet as one of our causes.
