Sir , iam ncv ramesh , last 5 years iam able to forecast the future and in return iam experiancing it , even i tried on my friends and relatives ,who lossed their lives, one day when i was in my friends house , his grand mother was talking something differewntly ,then suddenly , my mind became cool and there is nothing for me to think, and then suddenly i said to my friend that , she will not live for 10 days, then he scolded me, but sir , on the 9th day , she felled down and on the next day she was dead {10th day}.and one day is nothing but last year in the month of march and april 2006, when i was at my upstairs of my house , suddenly , i suffered some pain just below the small brain , and i heared some noises or voice which said that ,.my son, you are going to loose few of your friends very soon, i thought its a psycological feeling, but sir , in the month of november 2006 on the early hours of 16th november i lossed my friend who is residing just near to my house in a road mishap and with this incident ,with in a span of 12 days four more people lossed their lives in my locality, and sir i forget to say that last 7 years i lossed 9 of my friends , out of that 3-4 of them are my sixth sense victims, i dont know whats happening , and even now , iam feeling that , some times , i will become angry and with in seconds i will become cool , then i will realise that some thing is going to happen which is becomming true, and even my dreams r becomming in to reality.my parents took me to the psycologist where he said that its due to ur not engaging in any work and thats why u r feeling this type of vibrations,sir he is the famous psychiatric doctor in india, but when i asked him a question , he accepted and said that the world is not believing this, and no one r accepting this , and said to improve my sixth sense and also said to put my feelings and thinking and dreams on the paper every day,sir , the question , which i asked , is , animals and birds will be possessing the sixth sense and will come to know that what is going to happen in the next few days and will reach their safest places and the other thing is they donot talk , but will communicate in their natured manner , but cannot tell to any one, which the human biengs can do, we , can tell and talk and express our feelings to others ,so, why cannot we possess sixth sense, this was the question which i asked the doctor and made him dummy in front of me.

Thank you for sharing your experiences. For some reason, people seem to be able to forecast the future for tragic events more than for good events. It may be because those events when there is an accident or death are more traumatic and can affect the person seeing the event more than when he sees some good fortune.
Note that the people are not victims of your sixth sense. Instead, you are simply seeing some tragic event that will be occurring in their future.
When animals sense some occurrence, such as an earthquake, they may seek a safer place. But they are not foreseen their demise and escaping it. They sense a natural occurrence and not its results.
Many psychologists and psychiatrists do not accept the sixth sense and foreseeing the future because it is so difficult to measure and repeat. Scientists require positive proof before they believe anything.
Some people have a stronger sixth sense than others, such that it starts to bother them, because they are constantly seeing future events, especially unhappy ones. Since this sense works best when it just happens and the person is not thinking about it, a way to reduce your sixth sense is to actually try to make it happen. This goes against logic, but those that tried to have their sixth sense work often find that it does not work when they try hard. Thus, my suggestion is to actually try to see into the future. The harder you try, the less success you should have. Hopefully, this will help you reduce your abilities.
I hope these ideas to help and that you will be able to reduce the problem of seeing the future too much, especially tragic events.

I do have extra senses.
One of the first times I realized I recognized the sense involved a college class in Saint Petersburg, Florida (Saint Petersburg Junior College) where a physical education professor told everyone in the class that she was going to hook us all up to an electrolysis device to measure our body fat content. She indicated that no one will feel anything and it sends a very small electric current through the body.
I was in the middle of class during the testing and no one yelped or said anything about feeling anything before my turn came. She hooked the machine up to one finger on my right hand and one finger on my left hand. And the moment she turned it on I yelped out loud and exclaimed, "Hey! I felt that!" I surprised myself with my own yelp, because what I felt wasn't painful, but it did take me by surprise. I literally felt something travel up my right hand, up my right arm, then it traveled and actually did a couple circles in my head, then headed on down my left side, into my left shoulder, down through my left arm, down into my left hand and all that in momentary instant.
I think I shocked her when I shouted out. I certainly shocked myself with my holler. And I told her what I felt, that it did not hurt, but I did feel it.
The class chuckled and laughed. She asked everyone in the class if anyone else felt anything and no one spoke up. I insisted I felt something and that while it did not hurt, the fact that I expected nothing and actually felt something ended up more shocking than the shocking.
Go figure... it goes beyond that in other ways as well. I've always known I was sensitive to different things. I'm allergic to many things (animal hairs for the most part, and sometimes certain blossoms, the animal hairs tend to strike up an asthmatic response, while blossoms might cause me to sniffle and/or sneeze).
Other things I feel tend to involve foods I consume or insulin I inject (Type I diabetes).
Anyways, I've put a lot of thought into this subject over the last year. And I know I have more senses, and/or am more sensitive to things than the rest of the population on the planet.
I know for a fact, both medically and sensationally, that Canola oil is poison, and that it doesn't take much to affect the metabolism in the human body, and that it takes up to six months to rid the body of it and the harmful effects produced by one it.
It's been about 17 years since I felt the shocking electrolysis. And the instructor did NOT ever ask me about it again. I kind of think that she doubted me, because the class laughed and I was surprised and ended up smiling when I tried to explain what I felt.
I am living proof of this extra (very personal) sense and can reliably get tested and yelp if anyone wants to test me out.

Thanks for sharing your experience.
A possible explanation may be similar to the situation where some people have a body chemistry that is more sensitive to generating static electricity. These people seem to get static electric shocks more than the average person. Often it is because their blood is more salty than normal. It may be that, with your body chemistry, electric current is passed through more readily. Thus you would feel this small current that would create a greater sensation.
I'm not sure if being sensitive to environmental conditions such as various foods or chemicals is caused because a person's senses are more sensitive than other people. That certainly is possible and something to look into. For example, people with a number of allergies may be more sensitive to light, temperature changes, and electricity. It would be good to hear of the experiences of other readers that have allergies and such.
Try to be more aware of your senses and what affects you. Knowledge of how you react to things increases your personal potential.

hey,my name is natalie but my friends call me mona i live in egypt but originaly iam german iam 17 years old...well i have the feeling that i do have something like a 6th sense because there where many situations befor that made me really believe in the 6th sense like it happend to me 2 days ago i was walking in the streets and i had this weard feeing a voice inside of me told me that i will meet someone i didnt see since a long time and i did...it happens often to me that this voice tells me something and it turns out to happen! i know maybe this sounds dumn to u but its not the first time things like this happen to me sometimes i even dream of something and the next day it happens..all i really want to know is do i have a 6th sense and if yes how can i...like train it and fined it???? please help me i really believe in thies kind or things.

When you think of a person that you haven't seen in a long time and then suddenly you meet the person, it is called synchronicity. It is a form of the 6th sense where you can see or feel future events.
Everyone has the 6th sense, but some have it stronger than others. If you are aware of all of your senses when you have this feeling, you may make yourself more sensitive. But one thing about the 6th sense is that the harder you try to use it, the less it works. You just have to let it happen.

Hi,
I guess Im writing because I have to start somewhere. I did a search on the internet and your site was one of the first I visited, but the first one Im writing. I hope that you can either answer some questions for me or guide me in the right direction to someone who may be able to.
Let me start by saying that, in February 2004 I experienced the Holy Spirit and got a picture which was projected on my wall when I asked if I could see them. It was a bright cross on the wall. I have the photo and I can attach to an email if you need to see it. Anyways, I had a psychic tell me what that was all about. But the reason for me writing tonight, is that, a couple nights ago I took a picture of the sunset, well it really wasnt a sunset because it was allready pretty dark, so it makes me reflect back on why I even took the picture to begin with.
Normally I would not have taken such a picture, but something, for some reason made me. I plugged my camera into my computer and pulled up the pictures I took, and there was, one about the 2nd or 3rd pic, about 15 bubbles floating in the air in front of me, all different sizes and brightness. The ones closest to me, which were about 3 feet away, were very vivid and bright and looked like the moon. The ones further away were dimmer and smaller. I found this very odd because after taking the picture with a flash, there was nothing there with my naked eye that I could see.
So I went back out and took mor pictures. When I came in and looked at the pictures, I was shocked at the things that I saw. There was a women sitting on the fence across from me in one picture, but in the next one was not. I was smoking a cigarette while taking the pictures and the smoke went in front of the lens on one picture and it formed perfectly the face of what I perceive to be the devil. He had every feature of what we know the devil to look like and it had horns. The face itself takes up 3/4 of the picture. In the eye of the devil is a figure of a boy. He has short brown hair and is wearing a light blue and dark blue stripe shirt.
In the trees in the pictures which stand about 2 to 3 feet from where I was taking the pictures are faces. If you zoom in to about 150 you can see faces in the trees, and lots of them, up to 30 faces in a picture. For the last 3 nights I have gone out and taken pictures and I get the same kind of stuff, tongiht in a picture, where the women was sitting on the fence the night before, there was a king and a queen. The queen is wearing a Tiara. The bubbles floating around have faces in some of them.
When zoomed into the bubbles, you can see the heat around them, as if they have so much energy. It does the same thing around the bubbles that it does around the light of a light bulb in the pictures. Everytime I have a cigarette and the smoke goes in front of the lens, it forms something. Last night it formed very vividly (and there is no mistaking what this is) and its a picture of baby Jesus laying on the ground and Mother Mary kneeling over him, an angel with wings is hoving over the both of them. They are made of a womens face. She appears to have a scarf over her head. Eyes are very vivid on her and her hand is held up next to her head and she is pointing with one finger to Mother Mary and Baby Jesus.
I have a pic of Jesus reaching out for me. And I have much more. These bubbles start out far away and come to me, getting closer and closer each pic. Does any to this sound familiar to you at all? Do you know of such a thing as what I have captured on film? Anyways a friend of mine who is very spiritual says that it is trully overwhelming to think that all these souls are for some reason wanting me to see them.
I see people in these pics from newborn to about 90 years of age. I dont understand what and why and I would like to. I am very facinated with this and I just feel helpless because I feel they all have unfinished business and I should be helping them. I have lots more in the pics as well. I can attach to an email anything you need to see in the pics if it can help you to understand so that maybe I can understand to. If you cannot help me with this, do you know of someone that can? Thank you for your time, I really appreciate it.

I believe that scientists now recognize quite a few distinct senses beyond the long familiar five, e.g., heat & cold. I believe that this was up to 15 to 20, even 15 years or so ago.
And we now know that some birds, whales, bacteria, etc., can sense the Earth's magnetic field, that some tooth fillings can transduce radio waves to sound, etc. So the correct formulation of your question isn't whether or not we have a sixth sense, but whether or not we have an (n + 1)th sense!

Thanks for your comments on the 6 senses. Humans can see, hear, taste, feel, and smell. We can also detect gravity, which is sense number 6. Some animals can detect magnetic fields, which would be sense number 7. Tooth filings may detect radio waves, but that is not a natural sensor. Some claim to detect psychic waves, but that hasn't been proven. I've never heard that scientists have found other senses than those mentioned. I've have to do some extra research on that.

Senses limited to five has seemed wrong to me for a long time. For the time, eliminating such abstractions as a sense of justice, I think we should note the following:
hunger and thirst
time passing, which may be related also to a sense of rhythm
gravity (noted by others)
temperature (perhaps related to touch, but not the same thing)
pain of any sort
various sensations associated with emotions (fear, excitement, love)
direction
distance
Moving into the more abstract experiences, yet very much a part of our thinking, the following occur to me: A sense of justice and fair play, observable in very young children. Have you ever heard a small child say, "That's not fair," and realized that he knew what he was talking about, however unsophisticated or immature. Aesthetic judgment -- a sense of "taste." Sense of order and harmony. I'll stop here. I'm interested in others' remarks.
At what point was it determined that five senses were the limit and a sixth somehow meant something supernatural?

Thanks for your comments. I agree that the 5 senses are incomplete, but hunger and thirst are internal sensors on the operation of the body, as opposed to sensing the outside world. Likewise with time, emotions and such. They are in a different classification. They are more of responses of the body.

It is quite possible that we have powers that we don't realize we have. Don't forget that we only use 10% of the brain's capacity. It is also possible that our lives are simply dreams that another being is having. Look at how realistic your own dreams can be. Every day scientists are discovering things that people could not imagine some years ago.
It all makes for some fascinating thought.
