School for Champions Dream and Mission
by Ron Kurtus (revised 3 September 2010)
People throughout the world have common concerns and desires. They want to be skilled, confident, important to others, honorable, and to lead healthy, productive lives. Unfortunately, lack of opportunity or lack of insight often holds them back.
It is our dream that they will achieve their goals. It is our mission to help as many as possible achieve those goals.
Problems
There are numerous problems in this world. We can classify them as:
- Diseases of the body, mind and spirit (lack of health)
- Ignorance, lack of skills, illogical thinking, mindless influences (lack of knowledge)
- Shoddy business practices and work (lack of excellence)
- Uselessness (lack of value)
- Dishonesty, laziness, fears, irresponsible, greed (lack of character)
Our Dream
We, at the School for Champions, have a dream. And that is to see people go through their lives being:
- Healthy in body, mind and spirit
- Knowledgeable, skilled, curious, observant, aware, logical
- Excellent, confident and proud of their abilities
- Valuable, considerate and helpful to others
- Honorable, ethical, honest and courageous
In other words, we dream that they will become Champions in their lives and contribute toward helping others also excel.
Our Mission
We are on a mission. And that is to provide students and adult learners with a means to improve their lives, such that they will become Champions in their endeavors.
Method
The way we plan to achieve our mission is by providing:
- Educational material for gaining basic understanding on the various subjects of interest, along with quizzes and tests to verify their knowledge.
- Encouragement of logical thinking, positive attitudes and high character.
- Methods to excel in school or advance in their careers, as well as techniques for succeeding in other aspects of life.
Payment and fees
Students are expected to pay for what they get. The courses and lessons are free, but users are encouraged to help others succeed as payment for these lessons.
Verification of achieving mission
The way we verify we are achieving our goals and mission is by receiving letters of appreciation from users. This proves the success of the lessons. It is also a major reward for our efforts.
Summary
We have a dream and a mission to fulfill that dream. A good educational model will help achieve that mission.
