Answer
Spiritual health is difficult to define. To some people, it involves religious beliefs. To other people, it is peace of mind and oneness with nature.
Certainly, helping others is a route toward spiritual health. But also, a person needs to look at the spiritual nature in all things.
Right now, we do not have much material on the subject. However, we plan to increase the information and methods of attaining spiritual health, which in turn leads to good mental and physical health. They all go hand-in-hand.

Answer
Often spiritual health is thought of in a non-religious sense of having peace of mind. Another aspect could be that of having good moral character, which can be interpreted according to each person's religions.
A child care centre can provide a friendly, peaceful atmosphere and encourage positive behavior among the children. This might be considered a spiritually healthy atmosphere that would not infringe on the religious aspect of spirituality.

Spiritual health and alternative medicine relation
Question

what is the relationship betweeen spiritual health and alternative medicine.

Answer
Spiritual Health is difficult to define, but it seems related to peace of mind concerning your role on Earth and in life. Troubled people who seem to do things they later regret would not be considered to have good spiritual health.
Some forms of alternative medicine advocate prayer or meditation to attain peace of mind and relaxation. They also promote positive attitudes, which enhances good mental health. Of course there are also many forms of alternative medicine such as acupuncture that are not related to spiritual health.

Answer
Women in the general population are typically more religious and spiritual than men. They often have more peace of mind and thus have greater spiritual health.
On the other hand, there are many more ministers, priests and religious leaders among men than women. But that is small compared to the church population. Also with some of the scandals in churches, some clergy have serious spiritual health problems.
Pastor worried about people not coming back to chu
Question
February 16, 2004
I am a pastor of a small congregration and we have lots of people come in our church and worship for a while, they will leave as soon as they find out that we are real serious about what we believe. I am courious about what people feel when they come into our church, why can't they stay, I have thought about from time to time, is it our attitude, is it our spirit, is it our pastor, what is the answer that plague my mind. and what should a pastor do besides pray. I seek a hornest comment:
Pastor Larry Tatum.

Answer
We had a pastor who was a very dynamic speaker. The church was full every Sunday, but there were few other church activities. Our new pastor is gives OK sermons, and attendance is fair. But there are many activities and classes at the church for both adults and children. Although I enjoyed the first pastor's sermons much more, I think the second pastor has made it a better church.
Although it is good to be serious about what you believe, there is also the danger of stifling discussion or questions, such that only those with your exact beliefs will feel welcome. It might be good to see if the congregation feels people are being shut out of the church. In fact, checking with the congregation on what they want could give you ideas on getting others to stay.
Finally, encouraging a friendly attitude from your members to guests can give them a feeling of community and make them feel like coming back again.
Best wishes on maintaining a successful church.

Thanks for the ColdFusion section of your site. I found it well done and quite helpful.
Now, about the spiritual health section you've indicated is under construction. I hope you're careful as you put it together, as many people tend to wrap spirituallity up in the same package as religion, Being an atheist, I and many others find it in the strength and beauty of nature and many "elsewheres".
I hope you take that into consideration.
Thanks again.

Answer
Thanks for your feedback.
Spiritual health is a tough issue. First of all, there is the assumption that we have a spirit or spiritual nature some sort. Then there is the concept of that spirit being healthy or unhealthy. Many people feel spiritual health is simply peace of mind.
The big difficulty in the topic is to a separate it from any religious beliefs, and perhaps to have the ideas encompass most religions, including no religion and atheism. That is one reason there are no articles yet in that section.
