Become a Champion in Website Design

You can feel like a champion as a result of your work in website design. At the simplest level, if do your best and are proud of your work, you can feel like a champion. Going beyond that, if others recognize and praise your work, you certainly will feel even more like a champion. Finally, if you win a competition for a design contract or a contest to determine the "best" web developer you are considered the champion in that competition.

Feeling proud
When you develop a website or even a new web page, you can take a step back and look at it. If you feel you did your best and it looks good to you, pat yourself on the back and celebrate your achievement. That celebration makes you feel like a champion, especially if it was a difficult task.
A problem occurs with perfectionists who are never satisfied with their work or who don't appreciate their own talent. Compare with other web designers, programmers or developers. If you are above average, you are ahead of the game. It is better to encourage yourself than to criticize yourself for not reaching some unrealistic standard.
Getting praise
You can feel like a champion and be proud of your work but yet not get any praise or recognition from others. One reason may be that although you did a great job, you did not really provide the boss, customer or client what he really wanted. You've got to satisfy the customer's requirements.
If you do the type of work that is really wanted and it is done on time and within cost, the boss or customer will be happy and will normally provide you with praise. An exception is the type of person who has unrealistic expectations or a personality flaw that prevents praising someone else.
Getting that acknowledgement that you did a good job of what was wanted will make you feel like a champion.
Winning
If you are competing for a web development contract or job, and you are selected over the other designers, it is an indication that you won and are the best. You are the champion. You did a good job in your demonstration and you got the recognition by getting hired or getting the contract. You then celebrate as the champion.
In order to win, you must know the rules and what is wanted by the judges or the people selecting the best web developer in this situation. You've got to give it your best shot and hope that it is good enough to be selected.
The same is true if you enter in some web development or web design competition and win. You are recognized as the champion and the best. But also, if you enter and simply do well, it should be enough about which to celebrate. It certainly is better than those who never entered the contest. You may not be the champion, but you still can be a champion, if you acknowledge it.
Summary
You can feel like a champion if do your best and are proud of your work. This is also true if others recognize and praise your work. If you win a competition, you are considered the champion in that competition. But even placing in a competition can give you a good feeling.
