Question

Hello,
I hope your Tuesday is going well! My name is David and I’m reaching out on behalf of Senior Lifestyle communities, an owner, operator, and developer of senior living communities.
While conducting research on ways to support people during the COVID-19 pandemic, I came across the Healthy Aging Resources provided on Ron Kurtus' School for Champions website.
I found the page features incredibly helpful information and resources in regard to supporting seniors and caretakers, so I was wondering if you would be interested in including an additional resource to help support your community?
If so, I would like to suggest "How Seniors Can Stay Virtually Connected with Loved Ones" recently published by Senior Lifestyle. This provides the reader with 10 options for Seniors to stay in contact digitally during these uncertain times. Often times, older folk are less aware of the technology options at their disposal for communication, or simply do not understand their uses. This guide breaks down some of the more popular options for families to use to maintain communication with those they love. Each section breaks down each tool in a way that a beginner could understand the purpose and directs them to external ways to find out more information. I believe this could be an impactful additional resource to provide for your community during these times of great uncertainty.
Here is the full resource if you wish to look through it:
https://www.seniorlifestyle.com/resources/blog/how-seniors-can-stay-virtually-connected-with-loved-ones/
Thank you again for taking the time to consider my resource suggestion and please let me know if you have any feedback for me about its potential inclusion on the page.
Wishing you well,

No need to reply!
Thank you for a great collection of resources.
Just a note from someone who has lived in MD - it is The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Johns with an "s" - taken originally from a family surname.
Many of the news media misspell and misstate it.
Best wishes

Thanks for pointing that out to me. I made the correction from John Hopkins to Johns Hopkins.
It is also a good item for some Trivial Pursuit quiz.

Hi Ron,
I'm writing you about your healthy aging webpage, https://schoolforchampions.com/aging/resources.htm. I volunteer with a seniors' computer group at my library. I needed to find some online info pertaining to seniors for them to explore during the class. Your page has a great list of stuff we can use. Thanks so much for compiling it!
One of the teen volunteers, Rosie, came across a page with financial tips for seniors while helping me research, https://www.ignitespot.com/financial-tips-for-seniors
Rosie's doing volunteer work for her junior year and part of her credits are earned from reaching out and sharing resources with others online. So we both thought this page was one you would find useful to add to your website. Let me know if you can - I'd love to show her so she can check a box off her list already!
If you have any other seniors pages for our group, feel free to pass them on. Thanks again!
Take care,

Good Morning,
I hope your Wednesday is going well. My name is Garrett and I’m reaching out on behalf of Baylor University's Online Graduate Programs. I work with the university to distribute useful school-generated content to credible and relevant websites with similar content and audience interests.
Recently, I came across the "Healthy Aging Resources" page on the School for Champions website, located here:
https://www.school-for-champions.com/aging/resources.htm#.XMsVbGhKjIU
I was impressed by the gerontology resources you've assembled and was wondering if you'd be open to sharing an additional resource with your community?
If so, I’d like to suggest "How Communities Can Prepare for the Growing Aging Population," published by The MPH online program from Baylor University's Robbins College of Health and Human Sciences. This resource discusses how to make communities more inclusive for the older adult population. It offers examples from ten age-friendly U.S. communities and further examines how changes in things like transportation, housing, and outdoor spaces can help people age actively. I believe this would be an excellent resource for your community as it is relevant to the gerontology resources provided on the page.
Below is the URL to the resource:

Would you be open to sharing this resource with your community on the webpage?
Thank you for your consideration. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need additional information. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Question
February 26, 2019
Hi,
Every 11 seconds, another senior has been treated in the emergency room for a fall-related injury. That statistic recently hit home for me personally when my dad fell last summer. So, I and a few others at Senior Caregiver Alliance have been focused putting together some resources on fall prevention ever since.
My dad was lucky and recovered quickly. Then, my sister and I came in and made some changes to his flooring and bathroom and gave him a personal alarm, which, of course, he hates. :). There was a bit of a learning curve for me and pages like yours here Aging Resources really helped a lot.
So I’ve prepared a Fall Prevention Toolkit, including your resources.

I wanted to write to you about your web page. I volunteer as a teacher for a computer class at my local senior center. Your page on Healthy Aging Resources has some great seniors pages that I plan on sharing with the group. Thanks a bunch!
My daughter, Jessie, also found a page on Seniors' Computer Basics. Can you include this in your list of resources? She's thinking about joining me as a volunteer, so I thought her sharing her suggestion online would give her an extra push. And help other seniors online. :-)
If you have any other resource suggestions, please let me know. Thanks again!
Best,
Alyssa - USA

Can you recommend any brand. I have taken several and is not working for me.

Answer
Most brands of Saw Palmetto are very similar. You could compare prices to select the best one for you.
Saw Palmetto can give some relief from prostate problems, but it is not always effective for some people. It is usually used along with medications such as Tamsulosin (Flomax).
It is good to ask your doctor for suggestions to help your prostate problem.
Best wishes for helping your symptoms and for good health.

Good Afternoon,
I hope your Tuesday is going well. My name is Brian and I'm reaching out on behalf of a company that works to help increase the presence of Georgetown University's School of Nursing & Health Studies online programs.
Today, I came across the Healthy Aging Resources page provided on the School for Champions website, located here:
https://www.school-for-champions.com/aging/resources.htm#.W09ztflKiUk
I found the web page to be a highly notable collection of mental health resources for aging seniors to refer to.
As the page includes helpful mental health and depression resources, I wanted to reach out to see if you would be open to sharing an additional resource with your community titled “Mental Health Challenges for Aging Americans” published by Georgetown University.
This resource shares how to understand depression among aging Americans, including the factors that complicate diagnosis, and how to recognize and respond to depression among older adults.
I believe this would be a helpful resource to your community as it provides mental health and depression support for older adults.
Below is the URL to the aging mental health resource guide, if you'd like to share this with your community:
https://online.nursing.georgetown.edu/blog/mental-health-aging-americans/
Would you be open to including this additional resource on the web page?
Thank you for your consideration. If you have any questions or need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Kind Regards,
