He did technical development work on a number of space programs, including the Mercury space capsule used by John Glenn, Gemini space capsule that carried astronauts to the Moon, the Mariner Mars program, and the Jupiter space probe. Some of this work involved designing and testing space-bound telescopes and radiometers. He also managing the development of laser space weapons for the Air Force’s Strategic Defense Initiative programs.

Ron taught Mathematics at the University of Missouri, Physical Science at the Milwaukee Area Technical College and Mathematics at Waukesha County Technical College.

Material he has written has also been cited in 151 published books, including Physics textbooks and a book published by NASA.
