In handball, a kill shot is a shot struck so low on the front wall that it rebounds almost without rising — leaving the opponent no chance to return it and effectively ending the rally.

What a kill shot is
A kill shot hits the front wall very low, just above the floor, so it comes off the wall and stays near the ground. Because it barely bounces, an opponent cannot reach it in time, “killing” the rally.

A straight kill drives low into the front wall directly; a corner kill aims into the junction of the front and a side wall, so the ball dies in the corner and is even harder to dig out.
Technique and timing
Executing a kill shot well usually means getting the body low, contacting the ball low, and hitting flat and firm so the ball travels into the bottom of the front wall. It is a high-reward shot, but risky: hit it a fraction too low and the ball “skips” off the floor first, losing the rally. So players use it from a good position, when they have time to set up.
