Mini-Quiz: Book Cover Elements

by Ron Kurtus (13 April 2016)

Take this Mini-Quiz to check your understanding of the lesson material.

1. Why should the book title on the front cover be easy to read?

To appeal to the uneducated

You should avoid having the title on the front cover

So it will stand out in the bookstore shelf.

2. What is printed on the spine of the book?

The cost of the book

The title, author name, and imprint

Testimonials about the book

3. Where is the barcode placed on the back cover?

In the middle of the cover, so people can see the ISBN

The barcode does not go on the back cover; it goes on the front cover

Near the bottom, usually on the right side

If you got all three correct, you are on your way to becoming a Champion in Self-Publishing. If you had problems, you had better look over the material again.
