Accessibility Statement

School for Champions is committed to making its lessons usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, and screen magnification. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and this statement describes where we stand and how to reach us if something is not working for you.

Conformance target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard widely used by educational and government sites. The site is currently partially conformant: most of it meets these guidelines, and we continue to improve areas that do not yet fully meet them.

What we have done

• A clear, consistent heading structure on every page, so screen-reader users can navigate by headings.
• Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images.
• Navigation and interactive elements that work with a keyboard alone.
• Interactive quizzes that function without JavaScript, using accessible form controls.
• Readable typography, generous spacing, and colour combinations chosen for sufficient contrast.
• Respect for the “reduce motion” setting for people sensitive to movement.

Known limitations

Because the site contains thousands of lessons written over many years, some older pages may still include images without complete text descriptions or legacy layouts that are harder to navigate. We fix these as we find them, and reports from readers help us prioritise.

If you encounter a barrier or have trouble using any part of the site, please tell us through our Contact page, describing the page and the problem. We take these reports seriously and will do our best to help and to fix the issue.
